What helps to have ready
Where the house is, and which part of town. Bayfront, Southside, Calallen, the island and the far side of the bay are genuinely different jobs.
Roughly how old the roof is, or when you bought the house if you do not know.
What it is doing. Water coming in, shingles on the lawn, a stain that appeared after a particular storm, or simply that it looks tired and you want a number.
Whether there is a claim already open, and whether an adjuster has been out. That changes the conversation quite a lot, and the rules on what a roofer may and may not do on a claim are worth a read first.
If the roof is actively leaking into the house, say so when you call rather than putting it in a form. That is the one case where waiting for a reply is the wrong move.
